Spanish Lessons
I have a fever and this is a trap.
I'm not gonna teach you Spanish.
I'm bad at it.
----------------------------------------
But I will share to you what I learned in Spanish class last Friday: being humble.
Because I think, everyone will agree with me when I say pride is the most deadliest sin. Most people possess it. It sets boundaries and walls from one person to another. With pride, we are untouchable, indestructible and upright--- we create an image of ourselves for people to look up to. And often times, we forget that we're just the same as the others.
We're still people and not some sort of deity. We need to rely on other things and we need to realize that we're not nearly as perfect as what we think we are. We forget about that and the next thing we know is that we're at war.
The famous line: "I will not stoop down to your level." is something that keeps us from making things less painful. Do we enjoy the game? Here's a brain fart for you-- saying sorry doesn't mean it was your fault in the first place. It just means that you value the relationship more than your pride.
Trees
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
And as for me, I'm sorry for the people who wanted to help and accompany me.
Sorry I denied all your invitations.
Sorry I made excuses just so I can avoid you.
Sorry I told you that I can do things on my own.
Truth is, I can't.
I'm nothing without you.
Lo siento.
