Do You Believe Like I Believe?

It is a blessing that he did not know, for otherwise he would have lost his faith in his power to fly, and the moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it. The reason birds can fly and we can't is simply that they have perfect faith. For to have faith is to have wings.
- J.M Barrie, Peter Pan

Do you believe in magic?

Because I do.

And no, I'm not talking about card tricks and a man walking on water nor about cutting a woman in half and creepy rituals people do to heal someone.

I'm talking about the magic you get when you smile at one person and  he smiles back. I'm talking about the magic you have when you dance with someone, the magic you feel when you kiss somebody, the magic you feel when you hear your favorite song or the magic you get when you totally feel superb all of a sudden.

On my way to work, I saw this little girl eating ice cream. And she was smiling like it was the best ice cream she ever had. What made me smile was the fact that it was raining hard and she had no umbrella nor she wasn't under any roof. Her background was the angry sky and lightning. And she didn't care. She just continued to eat her ice cream.

It's pretty much a magical scene to me.

There are things in life that just weighs more than the other. Like how the ice cream mattered more than the rain. It's a reminder that life can be pretty shitty most of the time but regardless of the sheibe going on, you just have to deal with it and enjoy it. 'Cause life's too short to cry and whine and complain. There are moments when you find yourself in a state of happiness and you don't know why or how you got there.

And to me, that's a magical thought.
